About

Ivano Pecorini is a composer and sound artist working between London and Naples.

His practice sits at the intersection of experimental methodologies and aesthetic research, exploring how sound and space interact to form immersive soundscapes.

He holds a BA in Electroacoustic Composition from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Rome (2018), and an MMus in Electronic Music Composition from the University of West London (2019). He is currently a PhD student in sound art at the University of Greenwich.

His doctoral project, Sonic Planimetry, proposes a methodology for producing site-specific sound art within architectural settings. Ivano has released music with Opal Tapes, ROHS! Lontano Series, Élan Vital, Mahorka Records, and Stochastic Resonance.

His installations have been presented at Hhòcu Sutta Citara Fest, Seminaria Sogninterra Art Biennale, Sound/Image Festival, and ArteNatura. He is the co-founder of STRATI collective, a multidisciplinary group connecting sound, visual arts, and architecture.
